Our Project ApproachAt Studio G Kitchen & Bath, we have two primary goals: one is to provide the most functional and efficient layout for the people who will use the kitchen or bath and the other is to help you define your style, so that these rooms will reflect your individual tastes, personality, and desires. But we also strive to keep your project on time and on budget. To ensure that no detail is omitted, we’ve developed a step-by-step project approach that includes your input every step of the way. From the very first in-home meeting to the final project review, we’ll help you navigate the decision-making process.
Initial Consultation – We come to you! The initial consultation lays the groundwork for the whole project. We’ll visit with you in your home to discuss styles, what you want to achieve, the scope of the project, your budget, and our flexible fee options.
Conceptual Design – To create the foundation for the project, we will create an accurate floor plan and the layout of your existing appliances and fixtures. We’ll discuss alternate layouts, and we’ll talk about whether to keep or replace your current appliances, fixtures, cabinets, surfaces, lighting fixtures, and other elements in the kitchen or bath. We’ll discuss who will use the room and how, and of course we’ll talk about style, color, special appliances or fixtures, and other details that will make the room unique to you and your family.
Design Development – Armed with what we’ve learned, we will develop a complete design plan, including a defined color palate, any layout changes (space plans and elevations), fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, countertop surfaces, backsplash and wall surfaces, lighting, appliances, molding/millwork drawings, and furniture and fabric (if appropriate) selections.
Presentation – We want you to “see” your gorgeous new kitchen or bath before we begin, so we’ll help you visualize it through drawings and photographs, elevations, and samples of cabinet door and drawer styles/finishes, paint, tile, stone, hardware, and other elements.
Implementation – An important benefit of working with Studio G Kitchen & Bath is that we’re insiders: we know the latest advances in appliances and fixtures, who makes quality and environmentally-friendly products, and where to get unusual or hard-to-find items. We’ll take you on special shopping trips designed around your unique needs and budget, and prepare any specifications needed to get your merchandise ordered.
Installation – At Studio G Kitchen & Bath, we are personally invested in the success of your project. We’ll help you with demolition, construction and installation services including the work of tile setters, painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, appliance installers, and other trades people that may be working within your home.
Quality Review – Details are important. Before anyone signs off on your project, we will review the “punch list” we develop for each installation. This is an inventory of everything we planned to do to meet our initial design goals.
Project Closeout – After the punch list is complete, we’ll have one final consultation to make sure you’re happy with everything we’ve done and that we’ve met or exceeded your expectations. Then it’s time to take a perfectly chilled bottle from your sleek new wine refrigerator, step into a relaxing bath, and savor the made-for-you-alone ambiance that we’ve created together.
